Benji Heinke is an artist/composer/producer based in Southampton, UK.
Born in Somerset in 1995, Heinke graduated with a BA (Hons) in Fine Art from Winchester School of Art (2014–17), specialising in painting and printmaking. After completing his studies, he shifted focus to a professional music career and has since released six albums and two stand-alone singles. His work spans jangle pop, post-punk, and electronic music, and recently has expanded to explore classical forms within an electronic framework.
Informed by his Fine Art background, Heinke’s practice maintains a strong visual sensibility rooted in the semiotics of pop art. He creates all the artwork for his releases and directs music videos for selected pieces. Musically, his influences range from New Order, Talking Heads and Peter Gabriel to J.S. Bach, Steve Reich and Terry Riley.
